Liverpool captain could be headed for the exit as Klopp plans summer spending spree
With Jurgen Klopp set to put his own stamp on the Liverpool squad this summer, there are sure to be plenty of changes but few would have thought that Jordan Henderson could be on his way out of Anfield.
But The Sunday Times are reporting this morning that with Spurs rumoured to be making a £25m bid for the Liverpool captain, his manager may be willing to let him walk.
Klopp reportedly wants a seasoned holding midfielder such as Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan to fill Henderson's role and he is hoping that having previously managed the German, a move can be agreed.
However, incoming Man City manager Pep Guardiola is also apparently eyeing Gundogan in a revamped midfield for his inaugural Premier League campaign.
In his press conference before today's game against Southampton, Klopp refused to confirm that Henderson might leave but did say that besides Lionel Messi, no player in football is unsellable.
