THEY’RE famous for their high-octane performances on the pitch, but last night the Leinster rugby team attracted attention for a very different reason.

Getting into the festive spirit, the sports stars hung up their jerseys and stepped into character to enjoy the team’s annual Christmas bash.

The party was held at Baroque Nightclub at The Wright Venue in Swords, Dublin, and saw the entire team turn out in costume.

The dress code was clearly the more outrageous the better and Leo Cullen and his players did not disappoint.

The Leinster captain himself dressed up as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Cian Healy arrived as Bane, the evil nemesis of Batman.

Isaac Boss channeled his inner Santa Claus, while Devon Toner looked as though he’d stepped out of a boxing ring.

Meanwhile, Brian O’Driscoll decided to put a band together. He and pals Rob and Dave Kearney, as well as rising star Brendan Macken, showed their rock and roll side, dressing up as the music group Kiss.
