Paddy Power has issued a cheeky warning to Jurgen Klopp’s injury-savaged Liverpool side ahead of their Third Round FA Cup tie against Exeter tonight.
Klopp has named a hugely inexperienced side, with Dubliner Conor Masterson on the bench, due to a catalogue of injuries and the bookmaker has made the most of the opportunity to poke fun at the current situation
Borrowing a few words from the famous Anfield chant of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, the billboard reads: YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE (OR EVER AGAIN IF YOU PLAY FOR KLOPP).
Several ‘experts’ point to the German’s ‘high intensity pressing’ philosophy for the unprecedented number of hamstring injuries, with a gut-wrenching seven first team players suffering from the same problem.
"With a bone-crunching thirteen players out injured it’s said only Jack Wilshere has more injuries than Liverpool and you know things are bad when Sam Allardyce is calling you out – Big Sam hasn’t used his hamstrings since the 1980’s," a Paddy Power spokesperson said. "In all seriousness though I hope the Liverpool lads take heed of our warning before the curse of Klopp gets them too.”
