The post-touchdown celebration has become a form of entertainment in of itself in the NFL in recent years.

From Terrell Owens to Randy Moss, NFL superstars have made a science out of marking a touchdown in the most flamboyant way possible.

However Pittsburh Steelers receiver, Antonio Brown, was deemed to have gone too far after his unique celebration on Sunday evening.

Brown was handed an unsportsmanlike penalty for "using the goalpost as a prop" in his team's 45-10 victory over the Detroit Lions after mounting the post with his groin.

Brown attempted to straddle the post-protector before losing grip and landing on his bottom in the end-zone.

"I was full of excitement. I tried to stick it at the goalpost, and it just didn't work out.," said Brown.

Asked what his inspiration for the celebration was, Brown said he wanted to put on a show for the watching children, adding he was not sure when we would next be seeing the move again.

"Until next time, all you get is a smile," Brown said.
