Westmeath footballer John Heslin took part in the #PRESSUPCHAMP challenge in aid of Diabetes Ireland despite being injured with a fractured heel.
Heslin, who looks set to miss his county's qualifier clash with Fermanagh at Kingspan Breffni Parl on Saturday, was wearing a protective boot as he called on the Wesmeath panel to do as many press-ups as they could.
Their final tally of 2,123 might prove difficult to beat. The gauntlet has been thrown down.
Join David Moran (Kerry), RTE Pundit Joe Brolly, Peter Kelly (Kildare), Kevin Cassidy (Ex Donegal) and Philip Jordan (Ex Tyrone) and many more GAA stars from past and present and take the #PRESSUPCHAMP.
The idea is to video your exploits and post on social media using the hashtag #PRESSUPCHAMP and people taking part can challenge their team-mates, family and friends, rival players and clubs to beat their score while texting the word “PressUp” to 50300 to donate €4 to Diabetes Ireland.
Diabetes affects over 225,000 people of all ages across Ireland with this figure set to increase in the years ahead.
