Eric Cantona has made a generous offer and served up a hilarious warning to Zlatan Ibrahimovic following his move to Manchester United.

Sweden striker Ibrahimovic become one of Jose Mourinho’s high profile arrivals following his appointment as United manager, with Old Trafford icon Cantona welcoming the move.

Frenchman Cantona was hailed as ‘King Eric’ during his time as United’s No.7 and he expressed a hope that the new superstar at his old club will have just as big an impact.

Yet his platitudes to the 34-year-old hit-man came with a caveat, as he suggested his place as the favoured son of United supporters will not be snatched away.

“I have a personal message for Zlatan,” declared Cantona in his final Euro 2016 video for Eurosport. “You have decided to go red. It is the best choice you ever made.

“When you walk into the Theatre of Dreams, when you feel the ghosts of the legends who have been here before, when you a goal in front of the Stretford End…you will know, my friend, that finally you made it home.

“But there can only be one King in Manchester. You can be the price. And the No.7 shirt is yours if you are interested. This is my welcome gift to you. The king is gone…long live the Prince!”

You can watch the brilliant video here and it is safe to say we will miss these Cantona clips now that Euro 2016 is coming to a conclusion.
