UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has become a household name in the past 18 months but he is not universally liked.
Some of the Crumlin man's statements about Jesus Christ have landed him in hot water with Steadfast Baptist Church preacher Donnie Romero.
McGregor will face Rafael Dos Anjos at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for the chance to strip the Brazilian of his lightweight crown and become the first dual-weight champion in UFC history.
Speaking about the bout at a recent press conference, Dos Anjos said: "I'm just a single tool in Jesus' hands and on March 5, he will see and he will feel what a single tool in Jesus' hands can do with him."
This was the response from the Dubliner: "Me and Jesus are cool. I'm cool with all the gods. Gods recognise gods."
Pastor Donnie Romero was not impressed with Conor McGregor's words and said: "I pray that God strikes this guy dead."
