Video: Barack Obama lauds MLS MVP and 'his cousin' Robbie Keane tonight at the White House
President of the United States Barack Obama met a man tonight, he once described as "a cousin of mine".... Robbie Keane.
The pair got on well when Keane last visited the White House and the Tallaght native was excited ahead of another rendez-vous with the most powerful man on the planet.
"On the way to the White House to celebrate the Galaxy winning the championship last season, looking forward to it," the Republic of Ireland captain and leading scorer wrote on Facebook.
Obama spoke this evening about how America was finally getting the 'beautiful game' and praised Keane and his team mates.
Obama also met the winners of Ice Hockey's Stanley Cup, the Los Angeles Kings.
