Chris Sutton and Robbie Savage don’t seem to like each other very much - and they may have confirmed as much with some heated exchanges live on air in the BT Sport studios.

As the former players gave their verdicts on a dramatic afternoon of FA Cup action, Sutton and Savage didn’t hold back as they discussed the current crisis at Leicester and the future of their manager Claudio Ranieri.

A shock FA Cup defeat at Millwall on Saturday deepened the crisis around Ranieri, with former Celtic striker Sutton convinced the Italian should be sacked as Foxes boss.

Yet former Leicester midfielder Savage was keen to stand up for Ranieri, with the level of animosity between the two evident in this exchange.

“You hear the rumours that Ranieri has lost the dressing room and I think Leicester have a real chance of getting relegated,” said Sutton. “If that is the case, I can understand why they would make a change now.”

Savage struggled to contain his annoyance as he responded: “Chris is his opinion, but he is talking nonsense,” said the outspoken pundit.
