Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas can book himself early summer holidays after seeing red in strange circumstances at the Hawthorns tonight.

The champions were trailing to a stunning Saido Berahino finish when the former Arsenal man got his marching orders on the half-hour mark. After a melee broke out in the box, the Spaniard pinged the ball from distance and hit Chris Brunt on the head.

He was quickly dismissed and will now serve a three-game ban for his actions.

The reaction online has been mixed to say the least in what is effectively a dead-rubber in the Midlands.
