Queen Elizabeth 'photobombs' Australia hockey player's selfie at Commonwealth Games

Published 24/07/2014 | 21:48

Jayde Taylor, a member of the Australia Commonwealth Games hockey team, got more than she bargained for when she took a selfie photo of herself and one of her team-mates.

Ahead of their opening game against Malaysia this morning, Queen Elizabeth II was introduced to Australia's "Hockeyroos" at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre.

When Taylor took the picture the Queen stood in the background and, smiling, performed the ultimate "photobomb".

She then watched Australia beat Malaysia 4-0 with her husband Prince Philip before staying in the stands for the England v Wales game.
