Outspoken Arsenal fan Piers Morgan had a dig at Liverpool after seeing the team that Jurgen Klopp may select for tonight's FA Cup third round clash with Exeter but it backfired.
The journalist-turned-broadcaster is outspoken in his views on Arsenal and in particular their manager, frequently taking to Twitter to make his feelings known but turned his ire toward Liverpool this morning claiming that their proposed XI showed how much the FA Cup has fallen as a competition.
He wrote: "Liverpool's reserve team selection tonight shows just how far the FA Cup has fallen in stature. Sad but true. Not a big trophy any more."
Didi Hamann, a Champions League winner with Liverpool in 2005, soon put Morgan in his place:

Meanwhile, Morgan has been handed a platform to air his opinions the club and current manager Arsene Wenger after he was handed a role alongside Ian Wright on BBC Radio 5 Live.
The pair will team up for Sunday's 6pm show to review the weekend's FA Cup third round action on the 606 phone-in show.
Morgan will stand in for regular presenter Kelly Cates for one week only.
