THE adoration of Conor McGregor's army of fans knows few bounds. But one supporter of the Notorious one has taken thing to a whole new level.

A French sculptor well and truly raised the stakes after spending almost three months on a stunningly detailed bust of the UFC's leading man.

Jean-Baptiste Seckler, a visual artist from Paris, told independent.ie yesterday how he poured hundreds of hours into the work, which immortalises the Dubliner in a trademark open-mouthed scream.

The artist now hopes to present the piece to McGregor in person after Friday afternoon's weigh-in for Saturday's UFC196 showdown with Nate Diaz.

"It's taken me maybe two and a half, maybe almost three months to get this one finished," Seckler said. "I'm a huge fan."
