NFL star proposes to girlfriend during Capital One Cup Final
Marriage proposals at huge sports events are usually saved for half-time, on the pitch, with the pressure of thousands of strangers all pushing for a 'Yes'. It's just traditional.
Much less often do you see someone pop the question in the middle of an actual match. Aspiring spouses can struggle just to keep their voices level at the crucial moment, let alone manage to bellow the most important question of their lives over the din of 86,000 partisan football fans.
But perhaps things are different if you're an NFL american football star.
Mohamed Sanu, wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, managed to divert his girlfriend's attention away from the action in Sunday's Capital One Cup final between Liverpool and Manchester City.
Sanu may have failed to get his hands on a championship ring so far in his NFL career, but he had an engagement band to hand on Sunday afternoon, getting down on one knee while play continued in the match.
Sanu was successful; beyond that, however, we will likely never know what passed between the couple in that fateful moment - as the crowd noises indicate that one of Liverpool or Manchester City just went on the attack.
We don't know whether Sanu's girlfriend - sorry, fiancée - supported either of the two North West clubs, but perhaps Sanu's disregard for the tense finale unfolding before his eyes stems from his newfound allegiance to West Ham United.
Singeltons out there may well be justifiably worried about this becoming a trend, if they have their hearts set on something a bit more personal... or audible.
Is it a particularly inspiring platform on which to propose? Or shall we just leave this one to the sports stars?
The lad behind the happy couple certainly seemed impressed enough.
