Ireland striker Jon Walters gives hilarious update on his recovery from knee surgery

Jon Walters has just undergone surgery on a troubling knee injury but the Stoke attacker is still in high spirits.
Despite initial fears that the knock could hamper Walters' Euro 2016 availability, the Independent.ie was able to exclusively reveal earlier today that the Ireland striker's operation went well and he is hoping to be back training well before the start of the European Championships.
But something about the good news gave us pause - where was the obligatory thumbs up post-op selfie?
Many Irish fans refused to believe all was well in the absence of photographic confirmation but Walters has tweeted out a brilliant reason why he decided to keep his camera off.
Apologies for no post op selfie. I had surgery yesterday and all went well, delighted to have moved up two cup sizes— Jonathan walters (@JonWalters19) March 31, 2016
We are going to take the joke as evidence that Walters will be fit and ready when Ireland take on Sweden in their Euro 2016 opener on June 13th.
