Ireland hero Paul O'Connell put in his place by Mike Phillips on Twitter
Wales' Mike Phillips has put Ireland Paul O'Connell firmly back in his box in a humorous Twitter exchange.
Phillips joined O'Connell in the international retirement home this week and yesterday he took to Twitter to promote a new documentary - The Real Mike Phillips'.
Phillips - who has been under the spotlight in the past for late-night antics - tweeted a link to promote the documentary and O'Connell jumped straight in to ask: "Did they film you out at night?"
Phillips - a former Lions team-mate of O'Connell's - had the last laugh however when he responded: "ha you had to go there!! yes they did actually, the night we beat you in the RWC quarters!."
It's not the first time Phillips has come up trumps against Irish opposition on Twitter.
Niall Horan became embroiled in an online Twitter spat with the Welsh scrum-half after Ireland's victory over the Welsh last year.

"Mike Phillips is like a child throwing his toys out of his pram," 21-year-old Horan wrote during the game. "His attitude is terrible, looks like a right arrogant idiot."
Phillips invited the 1D singer to come down to the Welsh training ground.
"Bring the rest of The Beatles with you," Phillips wrote. Thankfully, fullback Rob Kearney was on hand to offer Horan both emotional and physical support, telling the pop sensation: "I've got your back."
