Jamie Carragher has hit back at El Hadji Diouf following comments by the former Red where he called Liverpool stalwart a “f*****g loser”.
The outspoken forward also said that the major difference between himself and his former team-mate is that he was world class.
The Sky Sports pundit responded to Diouf’s outburst in a tweet sent out a tweet last night that made light of the fact that Carragher scored more goals for the club despite being a defender.
In the tweet Carragher said: “The other big difference is he's scored less goals for LFC in the Premier League than me! (Not counting OGs!!).”
Diouf scored three times during his year long spell at Anfield. Carragher on the other hand scored four goals for the club during his illustrious career with The Reds.
It was not the first time that the striker had taken a swipe at the former Liverpool legends calling Gerrard an “Egotist” and Carragher a “turkey” in an interview done with So Foot in December 2015
Diouf arrived on Merseyside after a £10m from French club Lens, however after failing to make an impact in the first team he was sent on loan to Bolton in a move that was later made permanent.
The 35-year-old is currently a free agent following his release from Sabah United FC.
