The Connacht championship was launched today at the Connacht GAA Centre in Claremorris, co Mayo and it presented the opportunity for some well-timed trolling.

During the mandatory photoshoot which included London's Dave McGreevy, Gary O'Donnell of Galway, Tom Parsons of Mayo, Sligo's Mark Brehony, Cathal Cregg from Roscommon and Leitrim's Gary Reynolds, one image was taken in a boggy area.

Former Dublin forward Mossie Quinn couldn't resist having a dig.

He wrote on Twitter: "Jesus, Dr Hyde Park is looking well at today's Connacht championship launch..."

Controversy was caused earlier this year when Mayo faced Roscommon in atrocious conditions at the Roscommon venue.

A week later, the Rossies were scheduled to play All-Ireland champions Dublin at Dr Hyde Park but the fixture was switched to Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon at the last minute because the pitch was unplayable and travelling fans were forced to alter their plans.
