US President Barack Obama is used to the adulation of crowds and people becoming overwhelmed when they meet him, often gushing how much they love them.

So when Obama met the world's fastest man, Jamaican sprinter and London 2012 gold medallist Usain Bolt, it was unusual to see the opposite.

Bolt looked humbled to meet the president but seemed a little embarrassed when Obama gushed about how great he was.

"Nobody has ever been faster than this guy. Ever.

"Of all the billions of people," the US president as Bolt looked on graciously.

"Should we get a pose here?" he asked before Bolt obliged with his trademark pose.

A video of the moment they met and resulting joint pose was posted to Usain's Instagram account.

And the image is forever.

Obama is in Jamaica on official US business - meeting your idol while on a work trip is not a bad thing at all though.

What can I say.. It was truly a great honour meeting the President of United States of America @barackobama
