The McIlroy clan are growing very accustomed to having major trophies around as this picture shows.
Newly crowned US PGA Champion Rory McIlroy tweeted a picture of his dad Gerry using the case carrying the Claret Jug as a footrest this morning as he prepares to head back to Northern Ireland.
The four-time major winner posted the image with the message: ""Dad... It's not a footrest, it's the claret jug!!" Incredible few weeks, can't wait to get home and see the family!"
The 25-year-old is expected home today and will parade the Claret Jug and the Wanamaker Trophy at Old Trafford on Saturday prior to Manchester United's game with Swansea.
