Not content with taking the UFC by storm, Conor McGregor has joked that he might run for US presidency.
Currently based Stateside, the Dublin fighter spoke to CNN Sports over the weekend when he was asked his views on Donald Trump's election bid.
"Fair play to him. I'm not sure how the president election goes over this neck of the woods," he said.
"It's the vote of the public, I feel the American public in particular is attracted to controversy.
"They enjoy it in a way. If that's the way he's gone about it, to stir the pot and make claims about what he's going to do."
'The Notorious' compared the business tycoon's public bravado to that of his own self-confidence and suggested he could also make a run for office.
"Maybe he [Donald Trump] has taken a play out of the McGregor book.
"Maybe I should run for President of the United States."
The CNN host pointed out that McGregor couldn't run for it because a person have to be born in America to run for President, before adding "Well, we'll work on your citizenship but we certainly know you've got the popularity for it."
