Complete stranger pays golfer Darren Clarke's fare at Dublin toll booth

Golfer Darren Clarke was the beneficiary of a complete stranger’s kindness this morning after discovering he didn’t have any change to pay his fare at a toll booth.
While the last four days at the US Masters in Augusta amply demonstrated just how lucrative a professional golfer’s life can be, Clarke’s circumstances on the M50 in the wee hours of this morning showed they are still bound by some of the same rules as the rest of us.
Clarke, who will captain the European Ryder Cup team later this year, found that he only possessed the Euro currency in notes – the poor fella- so one good Samaritan trumped up the requisite €1.90 for the considerably wealthy Antrim man.
Clarke took to Twitter to express his gratitude:
Big thank you to the gentleman who very kindly paid my €1.90 @ the northbound M50 toll station from Dublin this morning. #noeurocoinsintheX5— Darren Clarke (@DarrenClarke60) 11 April 2016
