Big-hearted Dublin stars Bernard Brogan and Paul Flynn visited Temple Street bearing gifts
Dublin stars Bernard Brogan and Paul Flynn gave the kids at Temple Street Children's Hospital a treat this morning when they arrived with chocolate gifts for the young patients.
The members of this year's All-Ireland winning side are regular visitors to the hospital, especially after their September triumphs.
Flynn visited the hospital on Wednesday along with the Sam Maguire Cup and arrived back with it today, only it was packed with goodies.
The Dublin duo are among a host of people who have dropped in to meet the patients at the hospital in the run-up to Christmas.
Irish rock band The Coronas paid a visit on Christmas Eve.
On December 23, Ireland rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll was present at the facility and revealed on his website that he would be heavily involved in a large fundraiser for the hospital.
"This year, I'm backing their biggest fundraising project ever - the construction of a new Neurology and and Renal Outpatients Unit," he wrote.
"The fundraising team tell me that it is hoped that this new two-storey unit, which is being built above our existing outpatients unit, will be finished and open to families before the end of 2016.
"I believe they are now more than halfway to their ambitious fundraising target of €5.5m to ensure this new unit becomes a reality."
