Konoplyanka: I'd rather stay in Dnipro and play Champions League than join Man United
Yehven Konoplyanka has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United by stating that he would rather stay in the Ukraine and play Champions League football.
The talented Ukrainian winger was close to completing a move to the Premier League Liverpool in January but a proposed deal collapsed on the final day of the winter transfer window.
And now the Reds have emerged as contenders for the 24-year-old's signature, with a £12m bid having been mooted in reports over recent days.
According to Artur Petroysan, editor-in-chief of Russian publication Sport-Express, Konoplyanka isn't interested in joining United.
When asked about interest from the Reds, Petroysan claims the winger replied: "Man United? I'd rather stay at Dnipro and play in the Champions League."
