Kerry obliterated Waterford in a second half surge that saw them outscore their opponents by 22 points at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Waterford, to their credit, were very competitive in the opening half with Paul Whyte impressing for Niall Carew's team as they trailed 0-8 to 0-4 at the interval.

Any thoughts of an upset or even a strong showing vanished early in the second half as the Kingdom took complete control.

Goals from Kieran Donaghy, Declan O'Sullivan and Anthony Maher saw Eamonn Fitzmaurice's men into an unassailable lead and Bryan Sheehan was successful from the penalty spot.

Tony Grey got a late consolation goal for Waterford. Kerry move on to the Munster final on July 7 while it's the qualifiers for Waterford.
