She drew the admiring glances of world-class footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi at the Ballon d'Or Awards in Zurich last week.

And Ireland footballer Stephanie Roche turned even more heads on Saturday night when she arrived at her homecoming in a stretch limo.

Among the family, friends and supporters who turned out at her local, Brady's pub in Shankill, was boxing world champion Katie Taylor.

The Olympic gold medallist was spotted posing with Stephanie for a photo she later posted to her Instagram account.

Katie described Stephanie as "a class act on and off the field" and said the evening was a "great homecoming".

The 25-year-old arrived at around 8pm in a stunning white dress she purchased with the help of personal shopper Laura Mullett.

At her side was her boyfriend, Bray Wanderers midfielder Dean Zambra, while her proud parents were also there.

Later that night, Stephanie was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a piece of Dublin Crystal by Brady's Pub.

Stephanie was runner-up for the Fifa Puskas Goal of the Year Award for her goal for Peamount United, losing out to Colombia's James Rodriguez.
