The victory sparked scenes of wild jubilation as Northern Ireland reached their first major tournament in 30 years, a prize which may just persuade the IFA that the 7,000 euro (£5,040) fine is a price worth paying.

In a statement on its website, the IFA indicated it would not appeal against the decision from UEFA's Control Ethics and Disciplinary Body.

Following the win over Greece, Northern Ireland drew 1-1 away to Finland to secure top spot in Group F.
