Ireland scored a 1-15 to 0-14 win over Scotland in the Hurling-Shinty International at Bught Park in Inverness to secure a series success by a 10 points margin.
Leading by six points from last weekend's Croke Park clash, the Irish produced a dogged performance, the result sealed by Patrick Maher's 48th-minute goal.
Scotland led by 0-11 to 0-10 at half-time, with Kevin Bartlett's sweet striking from placed balls a huge asset as they registered a string of two-pointers.
Skipper Neil McManus, Gareth Johnson and Darragh O'Connell kept Ireland in touch, and they tool the lead with the only goal of the game eight minutes into the second half.
Bartlett responded with another score, but McManus brought his tally to seven, and the home side scored just one point in the final 30 minutes.
