Wexford got the defence of their National League Division 1 title under way in impressive fashion in Enniscorthy yesterday as they steamrolled Offaly 5-17 to 1-9, WRITES Daragh O ConchUir.

The hosts led 2-6 to 0-5 at half-time, having struck for two goals in the space of two minutes from the excellent Fiona Kavanagh and Josie Dwyer.

Dublin stunned Tipperary 2-13 to 1-15 in a thriller at Parnell Park.
