Waldron sets tone as Sligo flex muscles

SLIGO 3-14 WARWICKSHIRE 0-14

A controlled performance by Sligo ensured that they came away from Birmingham with the points.

Gary Waldron struck Sligo's opening goal and they pulled away from the Exiles in the second half with further majors by Ciaran Brennan and Kevin Gilmartin.

Connor Robbins led the charge for Warwickshire, the half-forward bagging 11 points.

But Sligo were just too strong, and could even afford a first-half penalty miss from Brendan Kenny as they cruised to victory.
