Tipperary hurling manager Declan Ryan has received a badly needed boost in the wake of his side's opening two league defeats.
Ace forward John O'Brien, a member of last year's All-Ireland winning side, is set to be available for selection in the near future.
The Toomevara man has not lined out for the Premier County since the memorable final win over Kilkenny because of a hand injury.
"John O'Brien will return to full training next week," said Ryan, whose charges face Waterford in their next outing on Saturday week.
