Tanner lays down marker for final

Longford continued their unbeaten run with a comprehensive win over Sligo in Pearse Park. The two sides will now meet in the divisional final.

Goals from John Newman and two from Declan Tanner gave Longford a commanding 3-9 to 0-4 lead at half-time.

Joe O'Brien then piled on the misery for the visitors with a goal eight minutes into the second half, leaving no way back for Sligo.
