St Patrick's dig deep

ST PATRICK'S 0-14 ST RAPHAEL'S 0-11

ST PATRICK'S, MAGHERA produced a rousing final quarter at Pairc Tailteann, Navan, to capture this crown for the second time.

St Raphael's led for the first time following a Dylan Madden point on 41 minutes, but Maghera fought back to reclaim a lead they had held for most of the game.

They led by the minimum with three minutes remaining and then sealed victory with two points from Tiarnan Mac Bhloscaidh.

Mac Bhloscaidh accounted for his side's last four points, though their victory would have been more comfortable had they not tallied 16 wides.

Shane Farren was on target with five points as the Derry college led 0-7 to 0-5 at half-time and despite a St Raphael's rally in the second half, St Patrick's proved too strong.
