John Sheridan, who scored 12 points, provided the inspiration for promotion-chasing Fingal to beat Sligo in Swords.
Fingal raced into an early lead, with four points from the hurl of Sheridan and a point from Brian McCarthy seeing them lead by 0-5 to 0-1 after 13 minutes.
Sheridan continued to run riot right up to the interval, by which time he had added another six points. His second-half showing was less emphatic and Sligo drew level in the 63rd minute through Keith Raymond's sweetly struck free to the net.
Kevin Gilmartin received a second yellow, which knocked the wind out of Sligo's sails, and Sheridan sent over the final point of the day to swing it for Fingal.
