Nolan's strike completes the deal for Models

Wexford 1-19 Offaly 0-10

Gary Moore was the star turn as Wexford secured a deserved 12-point victory over Offaly in Tullamore last night to progress to the semi-finals.

Offaly started well and went 0-2 to 0-0 ahead, but then Wexford stamped their authority on the game, with corner-forward Barry Carton to the fore. Lee Chin added some neat scores, while Jack Guiney was predator-like from frees as the Models went in 0-9 to 0-5 up at the break.

Moore helped Wexford ease further ahead on the resumption and the rout was complete when Aidan Nolan fired a 59th-minute goal.

Wexford will now take on Kilkenny in the semi-final.
