Mulry makes it three for Four Roads

Four Roads 5-15
Padraig Pearse 0-11
Roscommon SHC Final

Defending champions Four Roads pulverised Padraig Pearses to claim their hat-trick of titles in Athleague.

Pearses, seeking their first championship since 1987, started brightly and were four points ahead by the 12th minute.

However, their challenge was derailed by goals from Ray Mulry and Johnny Coyne in a five-minute spell, leaving them 2-4 to 0-7 down at the break.

The second half was a cake-walk for Four Roads. The game was ended as a contest 10 minutes into the new period when Coyne turned provider for Jamie Lawlor to find the net.

Pearses were a beaten side and their day got worse as Mulry scored his second goal on 48, with Micheál Kelly completing the rout with his team's fifth.
