WATERFORD'S De La Salle contingent, including John Mullane and Kevin Moran, will link up with Davy Fitzgerald's squad for the first time this season later in the week.
Their return could hardly be more timely as both goalkeeper Clinton Hennessy and midfielder Shane O'Sullivan face suspensions following their dismissals during last Saturday's five-point defeat to Tipperary in Semple Stadium.
"I'd like to get back into it as soon as possible but it is up to Davy and the lads," Moran said. "It lies with them but I'd love to get some game time straight away. The lads there have put in a lot of work but so have we -- we trained very hard with the club. Hopefully we'll fit back in no problem."
Moran is unlikely to feature against Cork on Sunday but he agreed that the Deise played their best hurling in the final quarter despite being down to 13 men.
"They played very well after the lads were sent off and I'd say Davy was very happy with that."
Moran was honoured at the AIB's provincial club player awards along with Mark Bergin (O'Loughlin Gaels) and Liam Watson (Loughgiel Shamrocks).
The football winners were Frankie Dolan (St Brigid's), Brian Kavanagh (Kilmacud Crokes), David Niblock (Nemo Rangers) and Crossmaglen's Oisin McConville.
