McGrath has cats in sight
TIPPERARY'S teenage All Star Noel McGrath is poised for the challenges that lie ahead as the Premier County seeks to build on last year's run to the All-Ireland final, WRITES LIAM KELLY.
McGrath (19) is not getting carried away by his All Star and Young Hurler of the Year awards in his first year of senior inter-county hurling.
And despite Tipp's exit from the Waterford Crystal competition in midweek, he looks forward to a League clash with Kilkenny which is a rerun of the Liam McCarthy Cup decider last September.
"It's a chance to get ourselves going again and get back on the right track to where we want to go again this year," he said.
Mention of the Noresiders brought a question as to how he had personally dealt with the defeat in such a gripping and dramatic encounter.
"For a few days afterwards we were gutted after losing the way we did, being so close and yet we were so far away at the finish.
"But we got on with it. We had club games a week or two after and we got it out of our system."
