McCusker star of Down romp

Johnny McCusker netted 2-5 as Down swamped 14-man Armagh at Casement Park on Saturday.

The die was cast during a 13-minute spell from the 18th minute as the Mourne men banged home 1-6 without reply, star man McCusker snatching his first goal.

It was 1-13 to 0-6 at the interval and after Armagh lost Donal Carville on a straight red card in the 40th minute, sub Aidan Clarke netted a brace of goals, either side of McCusker's second.

Down now face London at Casement Park on June 13.
