Lennon saves his best for last

Monaghan go top following victory over Longford in Inniskeen yesterday.
Longford had much the better of things in the opening half and led by 1-7 to 0-6 at the break, Garret Ghee with the goal in the 28th minute.
Monaghan stepped up their game in the second half and got a great boost when the Longford keeper was adjudged to have stepped over the line after he took possession from a centre by Brian McGuigan.
Michael McHugh equalised from a free and during the following 25 minutes the sides were level four times.
Monaghan edged three points in front but Longford fought back to make it a one-point game going into stoppage time. Monaghan weathered the storm Michael Lennon found the net to wrap it up.
