Kennedy hits form to scuttle Fionbarra

Kilkenny completed the hat-trick of Leinster club hurling titles as the Blacks & Whites secured a comprehensive victory over Naomh Fionbarra at Skeoughvosteen.
Black & Whites settled well with early points from Paul Murphy (3), Tom Moloney, captain Peter Cleere (2) and Niall Kennedy.
But Naomh Fionbarra hit back with two points from Gerry Dodrill, but then their full-forward Stephen Costello was sent off on 19 minutes.
Tommy Farrell goaled for Black & Whites three minutes later as the impressive Kennedy shot the closing four points of the half to take a 1-11 to 0-2 lead into the break.

The difference was 2-14 to 1-7 with nine minutes left and the home side slammed the door shut with a fine run of points, Paul Murphy grabbing the last three.
