Kelly shines for Ballyraggett

St Pat's B'raggett 0-21, Ballyfin 1-7

St Patrick's Ballyraggett made it six in a row for Kilkenny teams in the Leinster Club JHC final as they eased to an 11-point victory over Ballyfin in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise, yesterday.

Ballyfin struck for a goal before the break thanks to a JJ McHugh belter from a 21-yard free, but Ballyraggett still finished the half the stronger and led 0-11 to 1-2 at half-time.

Three early points in the second half from Kevin Kelly kept Ballyraggett on the front foot, and they led by 13 points with 15 minutes left. Ballyfin rallied, and they scored their first point from play in the 47th minute through Sean Lowry.

That sparked a run of four points in a row for Ballyfin, but it was too little too late.
