Keane haul drives Galway into final
Galway 0-17 Tipperary 1-11
Galway manager Bosco Hurney has demanded a big improvement against Kilkenny in next weekend's final after his side did well to recover from a poor opening half at Athenry on Saturday.
"It was a bit scary in the first half; we just didn't come out of the blocks at all," Hurney said. Tipp led by 0-9 to 0-5 at half-time, but Galway recovered to hit 10 consecutive points, with Athenry's Barry Keane landing nine points. Shane Dooley found the net with a 21-metre free late on to pull Tipp within two points, but sub Brian Dolan made sure of the Galway victory.
Kilkenny defeated Limerick 3-12 to 1-12 in yesterday's other semi-final
