A second-half injury-time goal from Willie Hyland earned Laois victory at O'Moore Park yesterday.
Laois were strongest in the opening half, Brendan Fennelly's charges deserving of their 1-9 to 1-6 interval lead. Late on, Hyland snuck through for an injury-time goal to earn the hosts their third win.

CARLOW'S win at Dr Cullen Park yesterday confirmed the Lake County's relegation after a sixth successive league defeat. The sides were level, 0-8 apiece, at half-time. In the 51st minute, Carlow centre-forward Eddie Byrne crashed home a fine goal.
Eoin Nolan's goal on 59 minutes clinched a third league win for Kevin Ryan's side.
