henry saves lavey's skin

derry shc final

The Fr Collins Cup will have to wait on its destination after a frantic finish ended in a draw yesterday -- with Kevin Lynch's and Lavey locked on a scoreline of 1-14 to 3-8.

Having looked well in control going into the final stages, Lavey needed a last-gasp free from Paddy Henry to rescue this final after Kevin Lynch's Ciaran Mackie struck for a goal in injury-time to put his side a point up.

Henry, who had earlier scored two of Lavey's three goals -- with Cailean O'Boyle notching the third -- stayed calm deep into injury-time to ensure these two sides will have to do it all over again.
