Grealish last-gasp hero for Gabriel's

St Gabriel's 1-14 Kilburn Gaels 2-8 LONDON SHC FINAL

Substitute John Grealish fired a dramatic injury-time goal as St Gabriel's snatched victory at Ruislip.

Positioned on the edge of the small square, Grealish plucked Aidan Ryan's long free out of the air and drilled home to clinch a 15th senior title for the Wembley club.

Gabriel's were forced to leave it late after a misfiring first-half resulted in their interval lead of 0-5 to 0-4.

Both sides lifted their game after the break, and Kilburn moved in front for the first time on 34 minutes when Limerick native Donie Reale drilled a superb shot to the roof of the net.

Gabriel's responded positively, hitting five of the next six points, but Kilburn hit 1-2 to move back in front, with Henry Vaughan getting the goal.

Three points from dead balls by Finn levelled proceedings before Grealish pounced.
