Clare’s John Conlon was impressive for the winner’s notching seven points in a 1-18 to 0-15 win.

The Limerick side, managed by All-Ireland winner Eamonn Cregan, were deserving winners and led 0-11 to 0-9 at half-time.

Lar Considine’s second half goal was crucial as Mary Immaculate went on to record an impressive win and they now await the winners of Limerick IT and Waterford IT in the final four

In today’s other semi-final UCC came from behind to beat CIT 1-13 to 1-11 at the Mardyke in an all-Cork affair.

CIT led at the break thanks, largely to a Ciaran Sheehan goal and UCC’s 10 first half wides, by 1-6 to 0-7.

UCC finally started to find their range in the second period and a Brian O’Sullivan goal got them back in it before they asserted and eventually won.

The Cork side should provide tough opposition for either UCD or the University of Limerick in their semi-final.
