Fallon shines for Rossies

Roscommon 2-13 Louth 2-5

ROSCOMMON recovered from a terrible start in Darver to inflict a second defeat of the season on Louth.

The home side started well, plundering 2-3 with goals from Oisin Drumm and Gavin Kane. However, Roscommon's Gerry Fallon knuckled down to the task with a couple of fine points and a well-struck free.

The Rossies closed the gap to just a goal at the interval (2-4 to 1-4) and were soon level after a well-struck goal from Cathal Kelly.

Fallon helped himself to four more frees, with Tomas Seale and Cathal Kelly also hitting the target to seal the victory.
