Downes double sees off brave Our Lady's

Ard Scoil Ris, Limerick 2-10
Our Lady's, Templemore 1-9

Two goals from the stick of full-forward Kevin Downes sealed Ard Scoil Ris' passage to their third semi-final in as many years.

His goal on the stroke of half-time gave them a three-point interval lead. Our Lady's had the best possible start when Declan McCormack blasted home a fifth-minute penalty.

Downes struck a second goal late on to set up a mouth-watering clash with last year's conquerors St Caimin's in three weeks.
