WHAT WAS PASSED BY 28 VOTES TO 16 IN AUGUST
Division 1 of the National Hurling League was broadened to include 12 teams and then split into two divisions of six according to strength. Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford, Galway, Tipperary and Cork were in one division with Limerick, Wexford, Clare, Offaly, Laois and Antrim in the division below it. The top two teams in Division 1A would play off in the league final for the outright title, while the top two in Division 1B play off for the right to be promoted to Division 1A.
THE NEW FORMAT THAT COULD GET THROUGH ON TUESDAY NIGHT
Still two groups of six but the top two in Division 1A will progress to the semi-finals, while third and fourth places will play the top two in 1B in quarter-finals. The bottom two in 1A would play off to decide who drops to 1B.
